The ITI should only be administered by trained individuals with a minimum of a Bachelor degree level qualification in a mental health related area, or similar, experience of working with people presenting with mental health difficulties and a thorough understanding of the conceptual basis of the ICD-11 PTSD and Complex PTSD diagnoses. Interviewers should be trained in scoring and administration of the ITI before use.
